SLSS Awards of Excellence 26th May 2012 |

Venue Change: The Annual Sydney Branch Awards of Excellence evening will be held on Saturday 26th May 2012, South Sydney Juniors, The Games Room 6.30 pm for 7.00pm start.

Clubs are asked to kindly refrain from holding their Club Presentation nights on this evening. This evening is the occasion where we can publically congratulate and acknowledte the achievements of members within our Clubs. We encourage all Clubs to please review the many award categories available and consider members within your Clubs for such recognition and consideration for nomination. Nominations are now called for positions and standing committees of Surf Life Saving Sydney that will be duly elected at the Branch Council/Election Meeting to be held on Tuesday 5th June 2012, 7.30 pm at Maroubra Seals Club, Beach Lounge.
Nominations close at Branch Office COB Thursday 31st May 2012.

End of Season Education Meeting May 2012 |

The Annual End of Season Education Validation meeting for the Branch will be held on Saturday 5th May 2012 9am to approximately 12 noon at Maroubra Surf Club. Light lunch will be provided at conclusion of meeting. Please note this date in your diaries. Tragic Loss of Fine Young Lifesaver from Maroochydore SLSC |

We are deeply saddened with the tragic loss at the Australian Championships of a fellow young surf lifesaver in Matthew Barclay from the Maroochydore Surf Club.
On behalf of all members in Sydney Branch we pass on our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy to Matthews' family, friends, his club mates at Maroochydore and all surf lifesavers. |
