Surf Life Saving Sydney is once again hosting a U13 Development Camp on 5 to 7th December 2008 at Deer Park. These camps are put on to assist in the on-going development of our Nippers into Junior Lifesavers. The camps are a fun weekend where kids from the 15 Sydney Clubs get to know each other and join together in a range of activities. These activities cover lifesaving drills and skills, rock climbing, pool activiities, leadership building, archer, water slide, Resusciation and rescue skills.
For applications for the U13 Development Camp (5-7 Dec 08) or the U11 Development camp being held on Jan 30th - 1st Feb 09 please refer to the nipper section of the website - under development camps. Forms need to be submitted to the Branch office by mid November 2008.
Applications close for the U13 Camp on 17th November 2008 with the U11 camp closing on 8th December 2008.

Sydney Branch 2008 'Sydney Airport Corporation' Age Championships |

On Sunday 17th February 2008 over 1500 Sydney children tested their lifesaving skills at the Sydney Branch Age Surf Life Saving Championships carnival held at Maroubra. Children between the age of 8 and 14 yrs battled the moderate swell and '3 seasons in one day' in a day of fierce competition. Congratulations to all of our nippers that proudly represented their clubs and did their best.
