SYDNEY BRANCH NEW OFFICE BUILDING OPENING.
In September
2007 Sydney Club Presidents, Sydney Branch Officers, Life Members &
guests attend the opening of our new premises located on
the magnificent coastal line at Little Bay. Background - A big part of what Landcom has done at the redevelopment of Prince Henry has been to look after seven on-site
community groups in accommodating them in long-term premises. Surf Life
Saving Sydney Branch is one of these lucky 7 groups to enjoy new
facilities and now has a 99 year tenancy agreement. This is significant to the long-term stability of Sydney Branch which will allow us to focus on assisting the 15 surf life saving clubs along the eastern seaboard, from North Bondi to Burning Palms. Landcom also indicated an ongoing commitment
to the surf life saving community as they will be installing a webcam
and a safety alert beacon at the Little Bay beach to assist in
emergency situations.
Thank
you to Sean O’Toole from Landcom together with Michael Daley – State
Member for Maroubra together with other local dignitaries and club
standard bearers that assisted with our opening.
