The Annual End of Season Education Validation meeting for the Branch will be held on Saturday 5th May 2012 9am to approximately 12 noon. Light lunch will be provided at conclusion of meeting. Please note this date in your diaries.
All Club Chief Training Officers and their assistants are invited to attend together with Assessors and the Branch BoL Committee.  Meeting Agenda and venue will be advised shortly via Circular and issued by the Branch office.

Nominations are now called for the Sydney Branch Lifesaver of the Year and Sydney Branch Volunteer of the Year Awards. Reendorsement of Assessors has been completed by Branch office from 1st January 2012 with expiry date of 31/12/2013.
The Branch office has a new SLSS Assessor Shirt for those Assessors endorsed for this period.  Assessors can collect their shirts from the Branch office. Remember to continue to use your VET log book to record your activities.
Any Assessor who has not yet sought re-endorsement, is encouraged to submit their paperwork to the Branch office. We remind you that you are not eligible to assess any assessments if you are not currently endorsed.

Clubs are invited and encouraged to enter the Lifesaving Championship events which will be conducted on 4th February 2012 in conjunction with the Coogee Carnival. The Branch thanks those members who submitted EOI's for this Trial program.  Branch advises that we have the required quota for this trial.  Participants and Clubs have been advised of those member/s who will participate in this trial 2012. Information for Trialist's is :
Stage 1 RPL Information Evening is Tuesday 31st January 2012 7.00 pm at the Helicopter Base
Stage 2 RPL Assessment Sunday 26th February 2012 (one on one)
Stage 3 Program Induction and face to face delivery commences 31st March 2012 Day 1    9.20 am to 11.30 am at the Helicopter Base.  All further dates have been provided to participants via correspondence.
