Sydney Nippers - Doing their Clubs and Branch Proud
This years Junior Lifesaver of the Year Award has been won by Lillian Hassett, North Cronulla SLSC and Lachlan Callaghan, Coogee SLSC.
Highly Commended Award went to Isaac Gencher, Bondi SLSC and Emma Brown, Wanda SLSC.
The awards were presented at a ceremoney at the Branch Age Championships by Branch President John De Cean and Director of Junior Development Doug Hawkins. Congratulations to these members on their achievement.
The Junior Lifesaver of the Year Award recognises those U14 nippers who show their dedication to Surf Lifesaving and their local community by their work, attitude, achievements and leadership within their own Club and their future plans within SLS.
Lillian and Lachlan are worthy winnters of this award and were outstanding candidates. The assessment for the awards was based on written applications and interviews.
We congratulate both Lillian and Lachlan on this prestigious award, and wish them both all the best as they now go to the State level to contest against other Branch winners for the SLS NSW Junior Lifesaver of the Year which will be announced at the State Age Championships.

The Annual North Cronulla Australia Day Iron Person Classic will be conducted on Thursday 26th January 2012 at North Cronulla Beach. Entries close - Early Entries $20 per person by 20th January 2012, Late Entries $30 per person register on the day from 7.30 am before 8.15 am

Tuesday 25th October 2011 at Maroubra Seals Club 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm
Wednesday 26th October 2011 at Tradies at Gymea 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm
(same presentation each night, coffee and supper provided)
