Surf lifesaving is enjoying a high profile in Australia with essential lifesaving activities on beaches, promotion of healthy lifestyles through surf lifesaving sports and a strong enviable social content. This strong community presence has not gone unnoticed with the Federal Government announcing that the centenary year of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) 2007, will be officially commemorated as the Year of the Surf Lifesaver. With around 40% of SLSA members being less than 15 years of age, it is essential that youth development programs are developed, and implemented for surf lifesaving to continue enjoying this success. This page is dedicated to the development of youth in the Sydney Branch and will host information on youth development from Club to Branch level, including youth retention. Activities designed predominantly to develop motivation, leadership, and a sense of community in a fun environment, enjoying new experiences and learning new skills. If there is anything additional you would like to see on this site, or have any questions please contact email the Branch Office This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
